Every one of the books which I checked from this user are in the public domain. in fact probably 85% of the books published between 1923 and march 30, 1989; are in the publ;ic domain. Also, many (almost all) instruction manuals, owner's manuals, spec. manuals, are in the public domain from during that time period. If an ocassional odd book slips through it can be removed once someone has a valid claim to copyright, otherwise they should all be put up. Try to put all of your stuff up through the Creative Commons Copyright; this will stop the various publishers from trying various schemes to recopyright public domain works. Once the archive has a substantial mass of these public domain materials, it will stop the publishers and their lackies from grabbing everything for their own profit.
